hi again

I'm filling now the form g-325A my husband is the US citizen and I know he has to fill this form as well as me, but my question is at the bottom of this form it says " this form is submitted in connection with an application for:....and there it gives 3 options so he should put status as permanent resident or he should put other and specified why he is filling this form for?

and the other question is at the very bottom of this form it ask to put your name and sign it but someone told me that he doesn't have to sign this form...is that true?

thanksssss

for your husband: check "Other", then Put: form I-130

for yourself: check "status as PR"

The person who told you that your husband doesn't have to sign that form misled you. Your husband HAS TO FILL THAT FORM AND SIGN IT (and YES, HIS NAME goes there at the bottom). As you have been told above, he should check 'Other" and put I130

It isn't a person it is many people - I recall reading this when I was researching as well.

TOO MANY COOKS messed up the King's broth. smile.

Fact is that each(petitioner and the beneficiary) have to file a g-325a. If the petitioner doesn't fill, it could only result in a delay as USCIS will send letter asking for it.

I brought this up before, because I was sure I had read that if you filled out the I-130, you didn't have to fill out the G-325, just sign it.

I eventually found where I had read that...it's in the instructions for the I-130. Even so, I filled out the form completely. Leaving it blank just didn't "feel" right.

Here's what the I-130 says:

D. A completed and signed form G-325A....Except for your name and signature you do not have to repeat on form G-325A the information given on your I-130 petition.

My advice is sign every form, and fill out all the forms listed on the guide here. Leaving blanks is not advisable, N/A or None, if those don't apply, than fill it in with info. People who forget to sign something get RFE (from what I have been noticing). Triple check.

3/23/2012 (Day 0) - I-130, I-485 and I-765 sent
4/02/2012 (Day 11) - Hard Copy of NOA1 in the mail of I-130, I-485 and I-765
4/04/2012 (Day 13) - Received a letter for biometrics appointment for 4/20/2012.
4/20/2012 (Day 29) - Biometrics done
5/03/2012 (Day 42) - Status online changed to interview, scheduled for June 11
5/16/2012 (Day 55) - EAD Card Production, online status update
5/24/2012 (Day 63) - EAD Card in the mail

D. A completed and signed Form G-325A, Biographic Information, for you and a Form G-325A for your husband or wife. Except for YOUR NAME AND SIGNATURE [caps mine] you do not have to repeat on Form G-325A the information given on your Form I-130 petition.

Unquote.

Therefore, based on these instructions from the USCIS website/form, both petitioner and beneficiary must provide a Form G-325A for EACH of them, and each has to put name and signature on it.
