Hey guys,

I'm just preparing for my interview on June 4th and I have a question

Do they require my fiance's (the USA citizen) birth certificate as well as my own? If yes, is a copy sufficient or do they need the original?

I will be bringing my original and I have a copy of his but if they ask for the original I'll need to get it from him

If anyone can help me, that would be great!

They very rarely ask for the USCs birth certificate from K1s. They used to a couple years ago but it doesn't seem like standard procedure anymore. I'm on my phone so I can't see your consulate but I'm assuming it's Montreal. The photocopy alone is fine. Make sure to photocopy yours as well.
