OK we received the Case number today and we got this email - what do they mean by AP - Additional processing?

Also we asked for IN - Invoice identification number so i can pay online - seems i can't pay online bcos Malaysia is not under the online countries i think

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your correspondence.

The correct case number is listed below.

This petition is currently undergoing additional processing. We will send further instructions once this processing is completed.

Unfortunately, the principal applicant's assigned U.S. Embassy/Consulate General does not participate in the National Visa Center's Immigrant Visa Electronic Processing Program. Therefore, all forms and documents should continue to be mailed to the following address:

you can pay online. There is no electronic document intake for IV and AOS. Please don't confuse the two (payment vs doc intake) .

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

AP aka Administrative/Additional/Advance Processing. I dont know the Actual difference between all these terminologies but all causes the delay on your Petition process and all need further review on your case to move forward. As they are not asking for any documentation to submit, it looks like your AP is internal (NVC) process. Hope other Vj members will have better input.

NO. Every applicant is able to pay his/her AOS & Visa Applicant fee and Submit DS-3032 ( Choice of Address and Agent) online, regardless of applicant's Country.

they are refering to documents submission. During NVC, you have to submit two packages a. Affidavit of Support (AOS) and b. Immigrant Visa (IV). As applicant country ( Malasiya) is not particiapte in the NVC's Immigrant Visa Electronic Processing program, all those packages have to physically mail to NVC address that you will get on your Bar code copy after you pay the respective processing fee.
