My wife's citizenship interview is scheduled for June 6. We just put everything that she is asked to bring in a well-organized folder. Does anyone know if there is same day oath ceremony USCIS center in the Los Angeles area? If not, how long does it normally take to get the oath letter?

Any VJer here who was naturalized recently in Los Angeles?

If no one replies, here are my two cents: From what I have seen from some trackers for the Los Angeles USCIS office, it looks like they do not do same day oaths. It looks like for Los Angeles, the oath ceremony is about one or two months after the interview date.

Let's see if a fellow VJer has some more feedback on this.

Going on 75 days strong and I'm still waiting......

Yeah, I read that they do pretty big oath ceremonies in Los Angeles with thousands getting the oath at the same time. So must be quite a waiting line then after you have your interview!

Did you receive your decision and are just waiting for the oath notice?

I was naturalized about 6 months ago in LA. there were about 5000 people at my ceremony in the LA convention Center. They have 2 oath ceremonies a month. One is a smaller ceremony at the courthouse for about 50 people, and the other one is a massive ceremony at the convention center. If your interview is held in time and there´s still space left for that month´s ceremonies you will be scheduled in as little as 3 weeks, otherwise you will wait for the next month... This was explained to me by the IO at my interview.

Hope that helps!
