Question about POE and temp work auth document

Hi everyone,

My husband has applied for K3 and this is on its way to Cairo consulate right now. I have seen postings that if you have the POE at JFK that you can get a temp work authorization stamp there. He is very worried about waiting for employment authorization once he arrives here, so this could be an option if its possible until he gets his final work authorization document. I thought someone might know if this is still active at JFK and if it applies to the K3 visa as well as the K1 (the others I have seen posted here on VJ were all K1 visas).

I think the 90-day EAD is specific to K-1 (and is only issued at JFK)--as K-3 DOES NOT expire in 90 days.
