I finally got the approval. This whole process stinks and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Just remember: DELAY dos NOT equal DENY.

I put my application in 8/29 and got approval 5/12. I can't even begin to explain that feeling weight lifted off my chest and in the pit of my stomach. It will happen when it's supposed to. OMG, I am still in a state of shock.

I fell asleep with the computer in my lap and when I woke up, I checked email and there it was...sent to me at 115 AM. Can't believe they sent it so late, better late than never.

I can fully understand your feeling, we are waiting for NOA2, it's already more than 7 month, we tried to do everything to get some information from USCIS for the delay, but they always say just wait 30 days or 45 days, because they are under recource constrints. if it's true, why so many cases can be approved less than 5 momth, many many Dec. cases got approved less than 5 month, so they are not under resource constraints. I don't know what's the reason for the delay, and why our case deserve such a delay? why they don't deal with case in sequence? they will never tell you the reason. it's real torture.

Yeah!!!! Congrats for you and yours. Now with in 4-5 days start calling NVC to see if they received your case. If they tell you to wait 10-15 days or whatever it is, dont believe the Hype. You just keep calling every day. Some of us our cases are getting there withing 4-6 days even after they told us that!

OKIE DOKIE!! I can't stop laughing or crying. It has been so long and started losing hope. Thank you all. For those of you waiting, keep hope alive. I always imagined how it would feel to be the one writing the response to congrats and it is even sweeter because so much time has passed.

I stopped coming to the site because I couldn't take it any longer. Hang in there everyone.

You are right. The not knowing and having all the control somewhere else is torture. I contacted congresswoman's office and didn't get too far but she told me the person who she last spoke with was going to take on my case personally, etc, etc. Then I went into extensive background check and I only knew this after making a service request and the liason lady from my states office. That letter said it could take up to 6 more months. I felt sick in every way. I knew there was nothing to find so I tried to keep faith that eventually it would happen. Now I'm in shock/disbelief but so happy. Hang on..

they also said our case is in extended review, and we can receive a notice of action( in the form of approval, or denial, or intend to deny or intend to revoke) within 45 days. but they did not say which perspective of our case under extended review. anyway they will find nothing. yes at this stage, the only way is try to be strong, keep faith.
