Re Do you plan to leave the airport ? coz my friend go through Narita ,Japan for transit, and she didn't need to give her passport to the Japan embassy at jakarta, or did you plan to stay there for a couple day while transit?

If the passport is lost, I would be sure to report it as

possibly stolen. My husband just told me a horror story

of someone he knows from work that lost their UK passport,

and sometime later he gets a call from the authorities

in the Netherlands, requesting his presence because someone

with his passport was caught driving stolen cars into

different countries or something.

Was planning only to be there about 11 hours. Change terminals/airlines and collect and re-check luggage. (no way I can see to remain airside).
