I can't tell if this is hypocrisy or irony. Do you not believe the moonbat right wing nutjobs are guilty of this too, or do you just choose to ignore that?

They could have used that title for the article. A little more accurate and a little less sensastional. Maybe they wanted to have a little more of a "stop the presses" moment.

It would have been more accurate in that it lines up more closely with what the final numbers would actually be. Not necessarily the same 2600 people from the list. I think Pooky made up the "distinctly" part since the article said "potential".

The problem is picking the number 180000 as if there actually could be anything close to that many. Also the article didn't make any attempt to point out that this is largely an error in the system. Most of the non citizens who end up as registered voters have no idea, and don't want to be there.

Yup, it is a problem, this motor-voter system thingie. Get a driver's license, we push for voter registration at the same time. IMO, a quick foray into eVerify and SAVE, would clear up a lot of stuff - just give the 180K list to SAVE database geeks, have them verify who's who.

But actually pointing all this out would defeat the whole purpose in the first place. It is far less about rooting out actual corruption and more about firing up all those 'low-information' voters. (another word would be IGNORANT!) You can't give them any real information or you run the risk of them no longer being those easily led 'low information' sheeple!

My wife would be one of these 2,600 as I explained earlier. While the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is likely unaware of her change in status which occurred some time after she obtained her FL drivers license, she is indeed a US citizen today and as such eligible to vote. They'll figure that out eventually.
