Just curious, how easy is it for these people who decide to renounce US citizenship if they subsequently change their minds and want it back?

You can't - it's a one-time deal.

Wrong! Tax breaks are not given to all industries. And a tax break IS a form of subsidy. If you provide services you have a right to expect payment and when you receive it that money is yours. The same is true for government. It provides many services to citizens and businesses. Taxes are how that is paid for. You pretend to be patriotic but you don't believe in paying your fair share. Why?

What industry is not given tax breaks, please name them? Fair share, as determined by whom, you? What is my fair share?

Fixed!

Yes I know, you think folks shouldn't keep a bigger share of their earnings via tax cuts.

Fair share as determined by the bozos we elect to congress! Of course, I only vote for the good ones!

That's part of your problem, you forget or don"t care that they work for us, not the other way around. There are limits to what the "bozos" get to determine is fair.

They move to California as an illegal where they can get everything for free. Illegals have it great in California. No need to abide by the US immigration laws if your an illegal in California.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

You know that?!! You wouldn't just be spouting off with uninformed rhetoric that has a semblance of 'truthiness' would you? Because I actually know what I think and care about and you obviously don't! It further calls into question whether you just pull all your other 'facts' from the same repository you pulled this one from!

Actually, now that I think about it, what you said sounds almost identical to some of the things I have heard spewing from the mouths of Rush and Glenn on the few occasions I have endured listening to their BS! Might that be your source? It would explain a lot!

True, that might work.

Part of a new article that came out today. New spin

Saverin spokesman Tom Goodman said Sunday his renunciation was prompted not by tax considerations but by U.S. rules that make it more difficult for U.S. citizens to live and invest overseas.

“U.S. citizens are severely restricted as to what they can invest in and where they can maintain accounts,” said spokesman Tom Goodman. “Many foreign funds and banks won’t accept Americans. This was a financial rather than a tax motive.”

Of couse he would say that. Nobody's actually going to say they renounced for tax reasons.

I'm curious to see which foreign banks and funds wouldn't take his money.

When they say it's not about the money they aren't being honest - it's usually all about the money.

The dude should have a chat with Mitt. He's got accounts all over the world and not only hasn't renounced his US citizenship but is actually running for President.
