I filed my AOS paperwork on March 30, 2012 and the priority date on my I797c is April 6, 2012. My case was transferred to CSC for faster (slower) processing on May 8, 2012. I am coming up on the 5 month mark in the next couple weeks. Guess I will have to contact my senator and congress person shortly there after to see what they will do in the State of Virginia.

The transfer date was may 8 2012 you said? then you have to wait for 6 months "AFTER" the transfer date before USCIS can pull your file, even if you contact your congressman or senator for help, they won't be able to help you. USCIS will them to that they have 180 days to review the file from the transfer date.

Card/ Document Production

On August 29, 2012, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

Thank you, Jesus!!!!

Thanks!I actually called them last August 17. The lady was very nice, she checked the processing time of our local USCIS office and she said it had been outside the processing time so that is probably why I got approved. :)

Congratulations :)

Thanks! :)

Hi everyone. We were about to go to see the Congressman sometime this week, as it has been six months since my case was transferred to CSC, however the "Welcome Notice" and "green card" were delivered out of the blue on Saturday, September 1st! This is it, isn't it? Wow.... Good luck to you all!

2012-09-01:

I received a hard copy of I-797, Notice of Action(Welcome Notice) and my green card at the same time. The welcome notice was delivered by First-Class Mail and the green card by Priority Mail.

"Notice date" on the welcome letter is August 28, 2012. "Resident since" on my green card is 08/16/12.

My Case Status now shows "Card/ Document Production", but I did not receive notification email from USCIS.
