Probably in the same pile as mine, in a box at the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying 'Beware of the Leopard'.

Mine was transferred on Jan 3rd and touched on 29th March.

 Really, a leopard? In a filing cabinet?

I wouldn't doubt they placed it somewhere and it was maybe misplaced. We had problems like that with files before we switched to all electronic. I can see the emails flying though CSC now..."PLEASE, HAS ANYONE SEEN THE FILE ON ______? I wanted to finish making faces on their photos with a sharpie."

I'm really, really hoping they didn't lose them, lol. I'm glad I can laugh at this situation. Better than crying I guess!

On another interesting note, I just noticed this message on the USCIS page while checking to see if they touched our (rather Thomas') file.

* Note on "Last Updated" date:

Your case may have a new "Last Updated" date and you may receive an Email and/or text message notification of your case being updated, without the status of the case changing. This is due to internal USCIS processing being performed on your Case. This will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date, but may not result in a different status message.

If this is true, they really have done nothing with his file since February 2.

Grats Mayhland!!!

I got my EAD/AP card today! Was sent out Wednesday. They never email me or text me, even though they have the forms to do so. Oh well. At least now we can buy the plane tickets for our trip in a few weeks!

Wow! Congratulations!!

No, the leopard is in the disused lavatory. Not read "The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy"?

No, but sounds like an interesting book. :)

I honestly think it's a free for all sometimes. The case above however, is the first I've seen that was approved that quickly without an interview. I'm not sure how they pulled that one off, lol.

Did you hear back from your Congressman yet?

I honestly think CSC pulls out some fresh in applications and processes them right away in order to keep their average processing time down. The goal is to complete applications in 4 months, but they're taking over well over 6 months now typically. Now if they just grab a certain percentage of freshly received applications and process them right away, their average drops considerably with less work. If you're lucky, you get picked as a fast processed application. But if you get over a couple months sitting there, you're in for the long wait.

Did you hear anything from them? I didn't hear from my congressman after I sent them my release, but my Senator had his aide call me and let me know I could call him with any questions and left his number. I'd ring them and just ask if they have any updates. Alternatively, get your Senator on their bums as well.
