Interview Question K-1

Hello fellow VJ K-1 filers. Just a quick question. Do they always take fingerprints at the interview? They did not for my fiancee and we are wondering if they don't do it for people who already have them on file from previous visits, visas, etc. Any info would be helpful and reassuring, thanks!

I had fingerprints taken at my interview and then again at my POE. I would think it's standard procedure, but you might want to ask others who went through the same consulate. :)

Thanks, Coconuts!

Anyone ever NOT get fingerprinted at their interview? We are concerned that it was an oversight and could effect him further in the process, say at POE or something, and want to avoid any possible delays/problems. We've already had way too many!

I was fingerprinted but, at any rate, if I were you, I would contact the Embassy and ask them directly. They will have the last word on your concern and you'll know what to do good.gif

Unfortunately I will find that out when I have my interview as they have taken my fingerprints too when I was applying for my tourist visa. However I believe they always take fingerprints to double check your identity but I might be wrong ;) hopefully your fiance won't be asked to come to the embassy again only because they forgot her fingerprints...

P.S. would you be so kind and when you have a minute please write your review in the consulate review section? It would help other people like me , waiting for the interview to understand what should we expect on that big day :) cheers! and good luck with the rest of the journey ;)

Fingerprints are required, they just forgot. He went in today and had them done. Should have the visa within a week! Woot! and FINALLY!!!!

Fantastic! Did you end up contacting the Embassy? The way I see it, with those things, is better to go straight back to the source for a quicker and accurate response.

Congratulations kicking.gif
