Employment Verification Letter

Hello All,

I am new to the visa processing and trying hard to get answers. my question among many that I'm sure to have is that I want to know if it is necessary to have an employment verification letter notarized? Here's the scenerio...took it to my bank today and was told that my HR department would need to notarize it...not the bank notary because it was signed as witness by the HR Personnel. I have the letter given to me via email from my HR personnel but it was not notarized. Well, I didn't know if it had to be notarized to begin with. Okay, that's my first question and if anyone can help with this please please help me...

Second question is...I've been told that I need to have a showing of having $1,000 USD in my bank account. Is this true? With living expenses and all in America its kind of touch to do. I have other savings such as retirements but unfortunately i just switched jobs to a better one and the thousand isn't there. Would someone please assist with this also. Also, if I need sponsorship how does it work?

I know I need to put all of this in one paragraph but I figure its best this way. I have a bankruptcy on my record that was dismissed already...The documents do not state that I need to include that it happened..I'm wondering how to handle it? I have a job now and making money and paying bills. I am a homeowner, etc with a nice car but not sure if the bankruptcy will harm my chances of bringing my fiance over here with me to the US.

PS...What is the best way to pay the fee...check or money order? Also, how do I address the check or money order and the fastest way to send all of the information? Should I send it overnight, 3 day mail...what? Any and all answers are appreciated. Thank you thank you thank you.

Thank you..Andy&Rena

Slow down, start here, http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides

You do not need to file the 134 with your petition. As long as you make 125% poverty, you do not need assets, ie $1000.

Thank you so much for replying. This has been very informative. I hope that I am able to get it all done soon. You and your fiance look happy. That's all a man needs is a good woman at his side and God leading the way. God Bless You All...

The employent letter doesn't need to be notarized. It should also contain that if there any questions, then they can call your HR Department. I never had a problem and to be honest they may not even ask for it, since you will be providing your most recent paycheck stub, W2's and IRS transcripts. Good Luck.
