I JUST SENT THE 1-130 YESTERDAY MAY 9, 2012 FOR MY WIFE. I SENT IT TO ARIZONA.

I'm worried that I did not send enough evidence to bonifide marriage. All I sent was the marriage certificate and about 10 pictures of our wedding and with our family and friends. Is this going to be OK?

Please let me know.

I'm a May filer too! Good luck to everyone!

MrEver: I sent a TON of documents. Our lawyer only took about 1/3 of everything I gathered.

Of what I gathered, she told me I had "more than enough documentation" to prove bona fide marriage.

She took: 60 pics from wedding/trips/bdays during 5 yrs together, 6 months of credit card/joint banking account documents showing us both listed, a handful of emails/IM's from the 1st 4 months of us talking online (I hadn't saved them for this purpose, but for a book I made for him to remember our relationship in the beginning), documents showing purchases we bought together, etc.

Even though I definitely went overboard with our docs, I'm not sure you did take enough. I hope everything turns out fine. Good luck!

Started talking online: 12-24-2006

Started dating: 2-22-2007
Engaged: 12-24-2009
Married: 12-19-2010
First appointment with lawyer: 3-16-12
Sent I-130: 4-16-2012
Rcvd NOA1: 5-1-2012
Rcvd NOA2: 10-23-2012
Rcvd NVC bills: 11-02-2012
Paid NVC bills: 1-18-2013
Mailed off NVC docs & Provisional Waiver packet: 3-14-2013
NVC site status confirms "PROCESSING": 3-22-2013

Flew to CDJ: 10-18-2013

Approved for visa: 10-23-2013

Flew home <3 10-26-2010

Wow, you did send a lot. Unfortunately we do not have any documents with both our names on stuff. I hope I do not get an RFE.

When did you send your application.

By the way, I got the NOA1 on 5/17/2012

Good luck to us!

I also want to apply for IR/1 visa but I'm confused, my wife is American(dual citizenship US/DK) and is currently in New York and I'm in Copenhagen.

What I'm worried about is whether to send the I-130 to the official address in the US, or it's possible to apply at the Embassy in Copenhagen?

We got married in the US in April and we would like to spend our life's in America so may god be with us.

Thank you for understanding.

Hello. I'm not too familiar with your situation. I know that if the US Citizen spouse resides in the United States, then you would need to send the I-130 to the US address. But if the US Citizen spouse resides in the country where the spouse lives, they would have to file Directly with the Consulate of that country. Check the guides that are posted here at visajourney for help.

Denmark doesn't offer DCF so sending it directly to the US Embassy is not an option for you.
