Well, nothing has changed on my case... I keep calling the NVC and they keep telling me they haven't received my case...

I was also told to send an email to nvcresearch@state.gov, and today I got a reply stating that they could not find my case...

I just called the USCIS and they told me they definetely sent my case, and that it should be at the NVC...

Guys, I honestly dont know what to do... I am really afraid of being one of those cases that take for ever to get resolve...

Any advise?????

We are in the same situation. What you explained here is exactly what I have been going through. I was told to call back after 15 working days of receipt of NOA 2 to conduct another research. Mine will be 15 working days on Wedsday because of Monday labor day holiday. I am about to loose my faith in the system.

Our NVC process went a lot faster than anticipated. We received our NOA2 dated May 4th. Then after a couple weeks of no further notification that the NVC received our packet, my fiance called the NVC and they said that they received the packet last Friday (5/18/12). They told him that they had already sent the application to the embassy in London through mail and electronically. He then called the London embassy to inquire about how long it would take to get his packet, since he wants to come visit me but didn't want to delay our process by leaving and missing the packet coming in the mail. They told him it would take at least 1 month to get the packet. They also said it would be 3-7 months until when he would get his interview date. We were surprised that they said it would take that long but didn't take it too seriously due to what we read previously on Visa Journey. Then I got a call from my fiance this morning saying that he got his packet in the mail today (5/25/12 - exactly 3 months from our anticipated wedding date!). We are relieved and happy to be moving to the next step!

Good luck VJ friends!

Tell me about it... It is so hard to be patient when you see everybody on this thread getting their interview dates, and I am still waiting...

Don’t get me wrong, I am happy for them, but this is just frustrating.

Once in a while, USCIS likes to move an approved petition to an off-site storage facility, or some random-#### USCIS office by mistake, instead of sending it to NVC. That might have happened to you :( If noone knows where your petition is, you tried the nvcresearch mailing address, you tried USCIS ISO, try your congressman.

So, our NVC process went very fast. My guy received his packet 3 letter on Friday! If you're having trouble, definitely contact your congress person.

I notice that your filing was at USCIS-CSC just like mine. Does this situation only happened to people that processed their application through CSC?

I have already contacted my congressman and they agreed to help me with this... I just hate to be stuck in between the USCIS and the NVC...

Hopefully they will find my petition once my congressman inquires about my case.

I just want to thank you for your support you guys are awesome!

My fiance (USC) called NVC today and was told the same thing.. to call after 15 days. They asked for the receipt number, if we have received the approval notice, and when it is dated.. Afterwards, they told my fiance to call after 15 days from the date indicated on approval notice. they don't even bother to check if it is already on their system, or if they already received our file.

Can I just email them? I see some VJers who got their case number after a week of their NOA2. I know it is case to case basis but how come that when we called, they didn't even check for it. Just giving us the same lines over and over again.... to wait for 15 days...

They actually do check to see if they have your file. I just called NVC, she asked for my case number. When they put in your case number, if they dont have your file it is then that they ask what your NOA2 date is. If it isn't 15 days out they tell you to call back after that amount of time. From what I have been seeing on here it seems like it is taking a bit longer to move through the NVC stage. Some move quickly, some do not.

12/24/11 I-129F sent

12/30/11 NOA1

01/03/12 Touched

05/21/12 NOA2

oh i see... i just remember reading somewhere on here that after telling them your receipt number, you will usually wait for 10 to 15 minutes before they can tell you if they received the case or not. you will wait for minutes because they are checking their system... however, when we called, after asking the receipt number, they immediately asked if we have received the hardcopy and what is the date of approval.. then that's it! they told us to call within the 15 days timeframe..

anyway, please update me if you got your case number already.. we are approved on the same day! :)

To everyone who is still waiting, please have faith. The NVC seems to be taking longer these days than most of the information out there on the internet would have you believe. My NOA2 was received January 31st, and it took until late February 24 before it arrived at the US Embassy in Manila. That was without any extra review. I guess that's pretty quick. But you read 'oh once the NVC has it, they forward it on after 2 or 3 days' and this doesn't seem to be the case at the moment.

But keep calling the NVC, even if the local embassy hasn't received your package, you can get the case number from the NVC and continuing preparing.

Sorry to anyone having to go through additional processing, but just stay strong, and have faith.
