Is there anything my fiance should be doing or checking into while we are waiting for our paperwork to get processed? She lives in the Philippines

You just filed, so there's another 5ish months before you hear anything. Use this time to prepare for the next step. Read the guides here at VJ, check out the flowchart, browse the Philippines forum.

Would recommend saving for fees you will need to pay. Get the paperwork in order. It doesnt hurt to fill in the forms, and do a checklist so that your ready when the next stage happens.

Good Luck, its a waiting game, but definately worth it :-)
