I'm not superstitious usually but my fiancé texted me at night that there was a break in into his mom's house in Miami and the robber stole his mom's jewellery , including an engagement ring his mom wanted to give us. The ring was pretty meaningful as it was his grandmother's and she has passed away years back... I never wanted a ring really so I was trying to comfort him but he is pretty upset now...

Also I didn't do any good by telling him that maybe it's his grandmother's way of telling us we shouldn't get married?! :P I was kidding of course but sometimes I really do believe things happen for a reason :) not really that we shouldn't get married but maybe there was some hidden meaning in it...

they don't think of the emotional attachment to the materials. they just want to sell it for cash..

maybe you can shop around at nearby pawn shops or ebay, and you might find it up there - with a hope of luck.

What is the hidden meaning in the theft of the ring?

There is no hidden meaning. The thief was looking for valuables and the ring was a casualty. Stuff just happens - don't read too much into it and proceed with your plan i.e if you really love each other.

Yeah by hidden meaning I meant that I wasn't really to have that ring and I am wondering why. I don't know I am weird like that and always curious when things like that happen if there was a hidden massage in there... you have something planned and then BOOM something weird happens... anyway as some people say: " you want to make God laugh, tell him you have a plan " :)

It's an unfortunate incident but that's a good way to look at it. Perhaps it will all be clear years from now when we're all old and grey :)
