hello VJ friends! Im here trying to kill time because i find myself slowly going crazy. I got my NOA1 on April 24th and i know when the NOA2 comes things start to flow in quickly. So my question is what forms are there that i can fill out now that way when its time to send it in i already have it filled out...???

Step 1:

Read the instructions carefully.

Carefully Review the information sent by the NVC noting the date, time, and location of your immigrant visa interview.

Step 2:

Gather required documentation.

Ensure that all required Original Documents will be available at the time of the interview. Any original documents that were requested by the NVC but were not submitted to the NVC must be brought to the visa interview. Any documents that you submitted to the NVC will be transferred to the interviewing officer.

Step 3:

Get your medical examination done.

Prepare for the Medical Examination. You should complete your medical examination before your interview with one of the approved physicians. Check our online list of approved physicians. The medical examination results must be brought to the visa interview in a sealed envelope.

Step 4:

Obtain the required Photographs and a self- addressed return

If you did not submit photographs to the NVC or if the photographs submitted to the NVC were taken more than six months before your visa interview, you must provide two identical color photographs at the interview. Review Photograph Requirements for size specifications and more information. The "LetterPack500" can be purchased at post offices throughout Japan.

Step 5:

Review the Interview Guidelines.

On the day of your scheduled appointment, please follow the guidelines.

Make sure you have your tax transcripts. If you dont I suggest you order those now. You will also need your husbands orignal birth certificate. Tell him to make sure he has all his immunizations done this way his physical he wont need them. If you have anything joint with both names on it that will be good.

Oh and most important, if you spouse does not have an email address create one for him on Google. The reason for this is when NVC receives your case and has a number assigned you will need to give them both your email address and his email address so that they can send you the Choice of agent document. In return the format can be put in an email and sent to the NVC that way. This is quick and kills time.

ok great thanks...i had ordered my tax transcripts last month and he had an email i made for him a long time ago. Babygurl, do u think i shoul fill out the affidavite of support and the ds-3032 now?

You COULD start filling out the Affidavit of Support form, but it's a little bit early. Definitely make sure you know where your pay stubs are, so that you'll have them on hand if you're submitting one or more as evidence. Also if you decide that you want to include a letter of employment, you could prepare to get that done in a little while.

I don't think that the DS-3032 isn't urgent at this stage: your husband can email that to the NVC as soon as they've assigned their case number to your file. The template for doing that is here: DS-3032 Email Template.

Start working on the additional evidence he'll carry to the interview - pictures, call logs, etc. Just take your time and get this done, and you'll be in good shape by the time you get NOA2 and your case hits NVC.
