Hi everyone-- My father is going to cosponsor my husband's K-3 since I am currently a graduate student with very little income! Can he just fill out the I-134 or does he als have to fill out the I-864-- I ask since the I-134 doesn't have an official "co-sponsor" part but in Peru that is the only form they require for K-3s. Also, aside from that, do I need my 2005 tax return even if our interview is in March??

Mil gracias!!!!

Hi there,

every sponsor and cosponsor must fill out an separate I 134.

You will not need your 2005 tax return, you might not even need your taxes at all depending on the country. I don't know what Peru wants to see but I didn't have to show any tax returns for Germany.

if the embassy wants the I134 for the sponsor, they want the same one for the cosponsor. So you don't need the 864 at all at this time.

For AOS you'll need it but not for a while.
