I got this email from USCIS:

"On May 7, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

What's next?

How long it's at the NVC usually depends mostly on how quickly you can get the Affidavit of Support and Immigrant Visa application packages ready.

You, the USC needs to fill out the I-864, and include the last three years of tax return transcripts (can be ordered online for free from IRS). If you make less than 125% of federal poverty level, get a co-sponsor to fill out an I-864A with supporting evidence.

The beneficiary needs to get a police certificate, birth certificate, (military certificate also if applicable) and fill out DS-230 (sign part 1 only). I'd have him/her mail it to you ASAP.

Congrats!!! It's pretty much smooth sailing from here :)

For Haiti Police certificate is not necessary, They are not going to ask him to bring it as it clearly state on the Department of state that Police certificate not needed for Haiti
