My interview letter said the same. But the actual interview took about 10-15 minutes, plus another 30-40 minutes before the interview to get through security, to sign up at the window, and to wait for my name to be called.

Probably they put those words about 2 hours just in case, so you won't complain if you have to spend in the building up to two hours? :unsure:

Thanks :)I was thinking it was just going to be like half hour. I won't :P

So I received my appointment letter today, While I was reading the letter it says that the proceeding will take about TWO HOURS!!! WHY? I have read here ppl experiences that it only took 15 or 20 minutes? is the whole process TWO hours? Why NYC has to be such a pain in.... Gosh!

unrelated to your topic, but how long did it take for you to get an appointment letter ever since your fingerprint taken in NYC?

No its not. My IL said the same but my interview took about 10 minutes. Gooodluck !!!

N400 Timeline:

4/14/12- 3rd yr as PR

1/17/12- mailed packet

Biometrics-- waived

4/25/12- interview- passed & took my oath the same day!!-- US Citizen!!!

My N400 Journey took 3months & 8days!:)

I did the fingerprints on feb 16 and got the appointment letter yesterday.

No its not. My IL said the same but my interview took about 10 minutes. Gooodluck !!!
