hi everyone! I apologize if this has been asked before or if the answer is in the guides but I couldn't figure it out.

I'm currently waiting for my NOA2. Since I got my NOA1 January 10th, I'm thinking I'll get the second one close to a month from now (June 10th).

I'm currently visiting my fiancé in the US.

My understanding is (I may be wrong, it's all so confusing) that after the NOA2 my fiancé has to send some information (affidavit of suppport, letter of continued support of the K-1 Visa, copy of the NOA2, proof of ongoing relationship), and some time after this I'll receive at my home in my country the packet 3. Is this right?

So, I guess my questions would be:

1) How long do you guys think there is between NOA2 and packet 3 in my home country?

2) Do you guys think it's safe to stay in the US until July 9th if I consider my NOA2 date being June 10th?

3) What happens if I don't see the packet 3 until some weeks after it got to my mailbox? How long do I have to send back everything required from me? Do they let you know the interview date on packet 3? If so, with how much anticipation?

thank you!!!

Welcome to the forum.

Where is Celeste & C? They are from the Argentina group.... Generally, it can take 1-2 months to get your approved petition through NVC and then sent on your interviewing embassy/consulate, barring any problems. The USCIS-approved petition is valid for four months. In can be extended by a consular officer, see these FAQs for details.

You should really check with South American regional forum and the specific embassy/consulate info site for more specific info.

Good luck on your visa journey.

LOL Here I am A&B!

Hey! We have a post going on for Argentine K1 beneficiaries. http://www.visajourn...a/page__st__480

1) Since Argentina has WAY TOO MANY holidays going on. My packet 3 took a little over a month.

2) It should be ok for you to stay, but it's up to you. You will need to get some days to get all the documentation the Embassy requires.. and it will take less time to get these if you are from Buenos Aires or the BA Province (you know how it works)

3) You can email the Embassy and let them know that you've received their information, but you'll be sending your packet 3 later on. The Embassy can extend the validity of your NOA2 if necessary.. it shouldn't be a problem at all.

My answers are ball park, considering your case has no hiccups or any other outstanding situations. If you still have doubts or if you need any help, please do not hesitate and contact me good.gifI'm currently creating an Argentine Step by Step, dummy proof!

EDIT: You can check out my timeline for actual dates!
