Will prior student submittal hurt a K1?

New to site, so hello;

My girlfriend had started the process 2 years ago for a student visa from Thailand to USA. She did the on line application and paid the fee for interview. Because of family problems she did not make the interview. No other documents were handed in, just on line form.

Now we would like to submit for a fiance Visa and I would like to know if this is going to hurt our chances of a K1 visa because she did not finish the process of the student visa a few years back. It was NOT DENIED, but never followed thru for money reasons.

What is our next step? I know you only have one shot at this and we want to make sure application is 100%. She is a college graduate, works full time in as a manager of restaurant and has been given visa's in past to Singapore.

This will have no bearing on K-1 process.
