Hi All,

I just got the hard copy of the NOA2. There is a paragraph that got me thinking:-

It states:-

"The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance,..."

My question is whether it was sent directly to the consulate or actually went to NVC and then they would send it to the Consulate. :help:

Trying to figure out where to contact.

Thanks for the help.

NVC. They all go through NVC first.

Welcome to the forum.

It is likely that your approved petition will be sent to the NVC, for initial Department of State (DOS) processing, including assigning a case file number to your approved petition.

Refer to the DOS Nonimmigrant K-1 visa FAQs for details. Give it a week or two and then give NVC a call to find out your case file number and when your petition will be sent to the consulate/embassy.

Good luck on your visa journey.
