hi, i have my medical pretty soon and i was wondering... the new place that does the medicals... do you get to wear one of those paper gowns or do you have to just be naked for a while? not too keen on being naked around someone i dont know.

I had mine on Tue, 21st of Feb, 2006 at Knightsbridge Doctors, 10-11 Bulstrode Place, London.

For the chest x-ray, you have to remove your top but the nurse gave me a gown to wear. Later when I was seen by the doctor, I was left with only my boxers and socks when the doctor checked my weight, height, pulse and took a blood sample :o

If you are not wearing your boxers on the day, then I guess you will be left with only socks when the doctor sees you :whistle:

What of it? Doctors are professionals. There is a female dr there, she did my medical, and it was a FULL medical.

You have to wear a paper gown type thing (actually I think its cloth)! Don't worry you don't have to stand there in all your glory!!! The doctor I saw was male and I think he was more nervous than me. I didn't get checked out 'down there' either. He just asked me a couple of questions. A nurse sat in while he did the other stuff like check my reflexes, pressed in my belly etc.

Its quite quick and painless really!

12/05/05 NVC received application! (say 2-4 week wait)
12/13/05 Found out forms were sent to London on 12/08/05!
12/20/05 Packet 3 received!
01/11/06 Medical - Knightsbridge London

02/15/06 Received packet 4!

02/13/06 INTERVIEW DATE 03/22/06 AT 10.30AM!! - APPROVED

Married July 29th 2006!!

08/17/2006 Filed for AOS and EAD
08/26/2006 NOA1 received for both (dated 08/24/06)
09/06/2006 RFE email.....not sure what for yet!
9/07/2006 Biometrics completed
10/13/2006 Transferred to CSC!!
11/02/2006 Approval email received!!
