The address you mention is the address the consulate provided. The Chinese on the clinic's page says the clinic's new address is opposite the "new address" of the consulate (该地点位于美国驻广州总领事馆新址对面), which presumably means not the current consulate but a new one that appears to be under construction (http://www.aia.org/practicing/AIAB093033). Currently the distance between the consulate and the health clinic doesn't appear to be more than a few minutes cab ride. Apparently moving around is all the rage in Guangzhou.

I'm a little confused on this. My wife tells me that the Medical Clinic is near the Zhujiang Subway Sataion. BUT, she is telling me that the clinic information (that she is reading on their Chinese Web Site), says that the Consulate is just across the street??? Your post seems to indicate that they are far from each other. :help:

Maybe 30 minutes to get from one to another, including all the walking.

The clinic WAS near the consulate, but has since moved. I think it was the clinic that moved, actually. They are about 30 minutes apart, like I said, roughly.. I never paid much attention, because my concern was from our hotel, which was further away, but I estimate it took us 20 minutes to get to the subway entrance, and an extra 10 for the trip to make sure we weren't late.

The subway fare between the two is only 1 yuan each way. There are two subway stops between them (or three, depending on which your choose, Linhe Xi or East Railway). If you call the clinic, they give you the updated address, but at one time they WERE close to each other. That changed, though.

Hope this clears things up.

Oh, was that it? I swear the clinic had an address in one of the papers, and it changed in the text we got back from them. Regardless, the consulate's address is what they have in their FAQ, on Linhe Zhong Lu, and the clinic is just outside Zhujiang New Town subway exit.

Perhaps it moved during that time? It looks like the consulate updated the address on their forms as it matches the new address listed by the clinic. I don't know, I'm a little confused too. Guess we'll find out on Tuesday.

Guess so. I really can't remember, but I remember talking about how there were two addresses, and we had to figure out which it was...

I know for certain the address on the FAQ for the consulate is right, and the clinic is at the Zhujiang New Town exit. So at least there's that.

Again, good luck to you on your interview!

Congrats on the progress. That June 13th date will be the day of document intake with interview taking place on June 14th. Strictly speaking, her son is not applying for a K2, a K2 visa is a derivative of a K1, which means he is included on the visa application your fiancee is submitting.

Thank you!!!

She and her son will be doing the medical on the June 11th, document intake on the June 12th, and the interview on June 13th. I understand and agree with your comments about the K2 for the son. I mention it because, while he is included on the K-1, we still have a pile of most of the same forms/documents/fees for him also.
