this wait....now 46 days.

it is so hard waiting for her.

tying up loose ends, getting her things shipped out.

saying goodbye, visiting family and friends.

it has just been too long since we been together.

we have rare fights. good news is they are less destructive, and no one needs to be right.

we seemed have learned its ok to leave it unsettled and open. no one has to "win"

still lonely and all that...it is hard. i wish she was here.

Between love and madness

It's harder for you because she is busy and you are just waiting. My husband was the same. He couldn't understand why I wasn't on the next plane out after I had my visa in my hand. I think that's why he came over to travel back with me - to make sure I couldn't come up with any more excuses! But tying up those loose ends was very important for me - knowing I had left things in order. Particularly the saying goodbye. It's quite a wrench.

The time will pass and you will forget the waiting. And at least you have time to make sure the house is spotless for her arrival.

i hope to have my visa by september at the latest but wont be moving until december. waiting for my fiance to graduate and i want to have a years salary saved up before i move. we have at least another 60 years together we can wait another 6 months.

when it comes to arguments i think just win the ones that really matter to you. as long as you don't get petty and call each other names your going to be ok. i honestly cant remember the last time we has a proper argument, at least 5 months ago.

Hang in there! Soon enough you will be together and traversing the next stages of life together and immigration. I can remember how those last few weeks seemed like an enternity, but somewhere within me I felt quietly confident in the knowledge that soon we would be together forever. It's a beautiful and conflicted feeling when you miss someone -- now we are together and married (coming up to 3 months) it feels like my old friend.

You can do it! You can do it!

we are approaching the 100day mark and I had never thought I'd get here sane! I have been busy the first two months, visited him the 3rd and now I am just waiting twisting my thumbs... I am going back home (yes, that is what makes it even harder, my family and most of my friends are back in Italy) tomorrow for a month and planning on finding an internship for when I am back in the UK. Trying hard to keep myself busy, I fail sometimes and get a lil bit sad but think that tmrw is another day and might be THE day. :)

The frightening things is that getting to 100 days was hard as hell but it seems that the 24 days after that have gone quite quickly... eep

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time - I understand it and remember it only too well! Hopefully you won't have to wait to much longer. I know this probably won't be any consolation now, but this will pass, and will fade once you're together.

  • 1 month later...

We hit our 121-day-waiting mark today and I have been obsessively checking the timeline trend. The wait is killing me...and to think i had pretty much been sane for the first 117 days since i got the noa1
