Can't open NVC email attachment

Have you try using another computer? maybe the software on your computer is a older version! FedEX office/Kinkos can open almost any document for a small fee!

05/16/2012: Interview Scheduled May 22, 2012

05/22/2012: Interview APPROVED!!!!!!

05/26/2012: Visa in Hand (9 months 11 days from NOA1)

Try downloading the attachment and saving it onto a disk or a jump drive. Then go to Kinko's/Staples/friend's computer/etc. and try to open it that way. I've never heard of this sort of problem. But I know you probably won't have much luck getting another email from the consulate (at least in my experience). Good luck!

Anyone ever had a problem opening an email attachment from NVC? NVC claims its my husbands interview notification, they said they'd resend it. Its been a few days and still no new email.....hhmmm

whats the name of the attachment. ****.???

05/17/2013.....I-465 & I-765 sent USPS priority mail + K2 package

05/24/2013......Email, Text of Receiving package on 5/20

05/28/2013.......Check cashed for K1 nothing for K2 yet

06/01/2013......Hard Copy of NOA1 received: I-465 and _I-765 Application for employment

06/02/2013.......rfe on K2 Missed a signiture

06/13/2013.......Email, Text of Receiving package after K2 rfe

06/??/2013...... Bio-metric hard-copy.

06/24/2013...... Bio-metric hard-copy.for k2

06/25/2013........Biometrics complete for k-1 and k-2 12:00 appiontment took longer getting through security.

07/09/2013.........Interview & Scheduling (Status Changed)

07/15/2013.........Interview aug 14 no cards yet.

07/19/2013......On July 19, 2013 we ordered production of your new card.i765 \ July 19, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I131

07/30/2013 ......Recieved EAD in mail. nothing else.

08/08/2013 ......Recieved k2 interview for sept 6........what? he is 8.

09/10/2013 ......On September 10, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I have tried to open the attachment on 3 different computers.

The error message Adobe Reader could not open “filename” because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn’t correctly decoded).

Another call to NVC today, I was told there's a note on my file to resend the email. How long does it take to send a freakin email?

so ita a ****.pdf or some thing else? have you updated the adobe reader or sent to a friend to see if they can open it?

Ah! ha! I just spoke to a patient NVC representative who informed me I'm not the only having this problem. He said a lot of people are having the same problem. Somewhat relieved now. swwoooosshhh!

But still, how long does it take to resend an email???!!!
