Finally! Our NOA 2 was approved just yesterday. There were no problems with our application yet we had to wait an unbearable 283 days for NOA2. I was on the verge of leaving this country too. It had been promise after promise that our application would be completed and they'd keep making us wait 30 days and then 60 days and so forth. Finally, there is some closure and progress. The worst part was they'd never give a reason or answer any of our questions as to why it was so delayed. I'm very happy that our application was finally approved, but the whole process has left me quite bitter. Let's hope that the application from here on out will go much smoother.

Thank you everyone for all of your kind words of support this whole time.

Finally! And here I thought the way they kept screwing up on the mailing address with us was bad! Glad to hear things are finally moving forward for you.

(I'm betting it was sitting on someone's desk under a coffee cup or something and they kept insisting it wasn't there, until they finally discovered it, went 'Oh. Oops.' and stamped it approved. But I might be a bit cynical from the way they repeatedly screwed up mailing things to me for my application.)

Here's my Valentine's Day gift for my fiancee.

]

One side reads 'In Love' when the two halves are fitted together, while the other has one half silver with black inlay vines, and the other has silver vines surrounded by black inlay. They're both trackable geocoins, too, which made her squee with glee.

She got me a set of dice specially carved from this rich purple wood, which is pretty amazing stuff, even if it's on the pricey side.

I love the necklace.

Hey everyone, it has been probably been 3 weeks or so since last loggin, but I will say that I miss this forum. After this 9 + month process its been nice coming on here. My fiance made it here safely in the US however they held him for 4 hours in Miami, but to make a long story short he is here now! :) Our small wedding will be this Friday the 22nd, we are very excited! Now just looking ahead to see the next part of this process, the AOS....any hints or advice is much appreciated. :yes:

Mrettercap - Congrats again, less than a week till POE! very exciting for you! this whole long stressful period of your life will soon be far behind you, the rest is easy.

Kassil&Tierce, thats is so sweet! very special and thoughtful.

Both Hubby and I separately purchased the exact same dinner items for Valentines dinner, except we got different flavours of ben&Jerry's, which is amusing how we chose, it always used to be Cherry Garcia for me and Americone dream for him, so I bought him the Americone dream but decided to try something different for myself, and he bought me Cherry Garcia but decided on something different for himself! ha! and we are going on a trip to the Big Island this weekend.

so I have my AOS packet finally ready, just need the cheque, and the envelope. and considering at this stage we are still moving to Korea, we are requesting an expedite, its part of what has us slowed down, we were trying to get moved off the Korea assignment, but its less than 90 days and we are still going, so, now to proceed as is. Therefore, I've been busy with more paperwork and medicals for the military, consumed with even. and more of hubby's relatives visiting. interesting people. ahem.

Happy Valentines to all of you spending your first together, and the rest, its your last alone. that should give you comfort.

Pathotoko, any news??

Any advice on getting the AOS package together?
