Pathotoko... any news? BrockUK? where are you???

ok my update, I have everything for AOS except the tax transcript, which has been ordered and on its way, we've had a hectic few weeks, my husbands aunt and uncle came to stay for a week, my grandfather passed away in Australia, then I got an eye infection, that has rendered me practically useless, doc gave me ointment and its slowly improving, and this week, husbands cousin and family are coming to stay for a week. Visitors is the last thing I've needed with everything going on, but its rude to say no to family, I'm left entertaining people I've never met, and I'm completely polite and hospitable, I haven't complained to my husband hes working 70+ hours at work and doesn't need to hear it, he noticed anyway, he confessed that the only one he likes out of all of them is his aunt, the rest was just to be polite and he wished he had been able to say no, they haven't been the easiest guests.

I've also been trying to run around get military stuff done, health insurance and military ID etc, then a medical screening thingy, and the potential Korea move, which we will find out this week if we are still going or not, if not, then its the magical lottery of where we will get moved to.

Life is a little lonely during the week, hence the venting here. I am looking forward to just getting through AOS and finding out where we are going to be living. deep breath, life is easier with him - without a doubt.

Oh, I don't think I've ever forgotten any plane flight I've ever been on. >.>

The fact of me being there should count extra because of all the planes involved. >_< 22h total travel time to Lisbon, with an 8-hour layover in Frankfurt, then a couple days later we fly to Paris.

I've been wondering about BrockUK too, it's been a while since we've heard from him. I hope everything is okay.

Thanks for the update! Sounds like you've had in-law overload and I'm sorry about your grandfather. I hope things settle down and get sorted out soon.

Here is the danger of leaving your spouse home alone all day...we just put an offer on a house and are in escrow! A new house was something we were talking about months down the road, but he started searching....full time and found a perfect place in weeks instead of months. We just got our AOS sent and went right into the loan process. Ugh. :bonk:

Oh well, all good stress!

Kassil&Tierce, I'm so glad your travel plans are set! Not many days left now!

Hi everyone, I'm still checking for any status update everyday, but nothing has changed. The wait is killing us. NOA 1 on May 9th, 2012. Today makes it 273 days of waiting for NOA 2 (8 months 25 days). It makes me think that getting married in Japan would have been much quicker. We're supposed to hear a reply by February 15th after having contacted our congressman.

Congratulations on those of you who have seen progress!

Brock last logged on in early January, I hope that perhaps he just extended his Christmas visit, or they just got married while he was there or something.

things won't settle till next week I think.. not long now.

hahaha.. thats too funny about the house, but how exciting for you both though and a big congratulations!!

Thats so strange Pathotoko, anything you can think of that might be holding up your process?? I hope it comes through soon. I understand the getting married being quicker route, it wasn't the right path for us, but in a way I wish we had done the same, got married and then applied.

Having my boss rooting for me may well be the weirdest experience I've had in my life, and my life often reads like an excerpt from the Big Book of Weird Tales. I don't know /why/ she likes me, except perhaps that I don't bother to harass her or the supervisor about anything.
