Waiting to hear from SK8rPatty :clock: This is more nerve racking than my own interview.

Haha! Couldn't possibly be.

The intereview was only 10 minutes if that, but we had to wait almost 2 hours to get to that point. I was a nervous wreck by the time we got to the window. He only asked us about 3 questions, how did we meet, what did we do for a living and why did we want to get married. He didn't ask to see a singe piece of evidence! I must have had 10 pounds of it ready...lol

Oh, and we were complimented on how organized we were...thanks Visa Journey!

We're soooo happy and soooo relieved.

haha It's not 100% sure yet, but they told us 3-5 days and that we can pretty much count on that it will be ready for pick up at Loomis before Friday.

Thanks everyone!! For the congrats and for all the support I received here in our May thread.

I'm still waiting for mine to be sent out, hopefully today. Saturday for POE would be nice though, the sooner the better right?

I have just 1 week to POE, therefore need my visa  , lots to do before then. packing and farewells, cancelling phone and medical insurance here, flying all over the place first.. well.. to Wellington - which is a shame, it will be the day after the Hobbit premiere, still get to see the giant Gollum in the airport though, also need to fly back to Sydney. wow I have a lot of traveling to do over the next 4 weeks!

I'm a little excited.

saw that there was about 8 May VSC approvals yesterday, hopefully another good day for all you May filers still waiting, they have to be getting to the bottom of the pile now as the odd June ones are starting to come through, don't feel bad about this though, just means there is no more May boxes left on the shelf.

Turion2 - I never bothered with the NVC stage, I just waited till my consulate emailed me packet 3. sorry, can't really help.

LOL!!! I agree, I made a packet of evidence, and he only looked at a few pictures.

Hi Mayfillers, What about NVC?

We got our NOA2 on the 16th of November, but when I called yesterday they still havent recieved anything.

Anyone around my date who´s recived at NVC ?

They send a stack of petitions at a time to NVC, so there is no telling when they will receive yours. Usually you will get a letter in the mail that it has been received and forwarded to your consulate.

I never got an NOA2 yet, but mine has already been forwarded to the embassy. I had a May 8 filing date, November 5 approval date (never told me until I called) and a November 20th mailed to Embassy date.

I guess you can't really depend on any of the information they give you... I'd just keep calling!

Thanks! I feel bad for those still waiting, but it always gave me hope to read about other approvals so I decided to post mine. I hope it helps in some way.

I see you just got your NOA2 hard copy...things will go quickly from this point on...until you get your interview scheduled and have to wait for that. It was almost as hard as waiting for NOA2...almost. Hang in there, your time will come soon!

I just got home an hour ago. Last time I'll be coming home to an empty house. When I said good-bye today I was almost laughing...no tears this time! I still wish I could have stayed and traveled with him. I would have loved to be at the POE with him but I had to get back to work. Need to save a few days off for the wedding!

Still no NOA2 for me :( I am getting really depressed and don't know what to do now.

What do you guys recommend? I've heard I can get my senator involved. Is that true? How do I do that?

:(

Im in the same boat as you. It really is getting me down in the dumps but there is nothing you can do. Getting your senator involved won't do you much good as you have not yet exceeded your 6 month cut point. Have you tried calling USCIS for an update?

My fiancee called last night about our status. Apparntly we should both get something in the post sometime this week.

Im not getting excited about it, as they have lied to us so many times in the past.

Congratulations so far on all sucessful NOA2 and intervewis for our May peeps! :)

Everyday is just so painful. I get up in the morning hoping for good news, but the day ends with nothing :( I AM past my 6 months now. It's been 6 months and 6 days. Will the Senator help? I don't know how to do that though..

I did try to call USCIS about 10 days ago and they had NOTHING new to say except what was written on the website. And that I can't do a service request yet because I am with in normal processing time!

I hope they are truthful with you this time. And I guess I'll try calling again. There's nothing to do but that at this point.

This is the other half of Kassil&Tierce, the Portuguese petitioner.

Still nothing from the Paris embassy. Checking my mail every day in expectant glee--but soon!

It just feels like a lot of dithering and twiddling our thumbs. We (I at least) don't want to make plans for my Christmas visit to the States yet, since it would be better to have an idea of the timeline we're looking at. We'll probably end up mailing the Applicant Readiness letter from the States before I fly back here, to minimize the wait. My to-do list is ready, now I need actual knowledge of when things are due.

While the Paris bit was an unexpected and rather unpleasant surprise (I live in walking distance of the US embassy here! Come on! K1 visas keep falling in that annoying immigrant/non-immigrant loop, grr), looking at it from a new angle can make the experience fun. I expect I'll be a ball of nerves come interview day, and Kassil doesn't like the Parisians, but the city is stunning. Getting to show him around and be, as I put it in FB, a pair of "slightly deranged lovebirds" in the City of Light (omg Paris want) should be an amazing time. And then we get to go home and finally be together.

Apr 2012 - Engaged!
Feb 28, 2013 - Interview
Mar 11, 2013 - Visa arrives
Mar 12, 2013 - POE Boston
Mar 22, 2013 - Married
