We just got our NOA2 approval finally!! It's been 190 days! I was pretty much convincing myself that something had gone wrong and they'd lost our file or something, so my faith has been restored. I hope so much for everyone else still waiting from May to get theirs in the next few days! The relief is just unbelievable. Thank you for all the support on here, can't wait to get on with the next stages now! xx

Thanks. our wedding date is exactly one year after the day he first landed in Sydney after a year of talking while he was in Iraq, so whats nice, is that since meeting, we won't miss a Christmas together.

Oh no! Im so sorry to hear what you are going through. It seems to be a reoccuring theme when the stress of receiving the NOA2 comes too much. Beleive my fiancee and I have had our arguements about it, but patience is the only thing you both can do.

It seems that advice is a lot easier from when you first send the petition rather than when you are so close from getting the NOA2 I know, but hang in there.

I just realised that I thought this is the group for people who SENT their petition in May, not for people who received their NOA1 in May!

I was a little confuzzled about it. We sent off our paperwork at the end of April but I just went off the date from the NOA1!

I am getting extremely disheartened as well seeing people with NOA1 dates after me getting approved I dunno what to think anymore but I am really frustrated now that I still have to wait another long four days till they start working again. And calling them does not help at all!! Is it really possible that it may be lost or something?? I am having nightmares lately, it's so sad

My fiancee was extremely frustrated seeing the same (others getting approved that filed after us) also to the point that she wasnt smiling anymore when we chatted on Skype, which was sad to me, cuz always I looked forward to see that smile every day. The delay bothered me also but theres nothing I could do but just have faith, I was absolutely sure it would come.....of course I did have moments of weakness, but reading the post here I realized that this is normal. Anyways, I do get to see her smile again now, which in turn overwhelms my heart.

So, Pray and have Faith, all this worry will just age you faster, cuz everyday your one step closer.....I know its easy for me to say all this, however we are not done yet, still have hurdles to overcome...... but we'll get there.

How is it that CAlifornia goes so much quicker?

We've been waiting for a May 8th date in Vermont and its like California is already approving I129Fs that people haven't even filed yet!

Thanks a lot for the words of support. It's definitely much needed. Seeing all this support from people around here definitely helps make this journey easier. I just hope this will be over with soon for all of us. It's definitely one of the most stressful things I had to go through. I know how disheartening it is relshamy - our NOA2 came on Wednesday after 190 days waiting, and a week after our timeline estimate. Since we got into November I'd been so frustrated seeing late May filers getting their approvals and I found it really hard to come to this site because the unfairness of it all would reduce me to frustrated tears. I was convinced our file got lost too! My fiance was more upbeat and kept saying it was a matter of time but I was just so down. When we got the NOA2 he said he was so happy, but more happy that I'll now stop being so negative about it, lol. I'm sure your time will come really soon, and it's true that they are just randomly approving May dates, so it's not as bad as if they were going in strict numerical order and then just missed your date completely, so try to take comfort in that. Vermont are moving so much faster now than they were a few months back, it's all looking more positive. Keep the faith, I'll be hoping for the best for you and everyone else in the same situation.

Called NVC a couple of times in the past three weeks to see what was going on, each time the person speaking to us was extremely rude and told us that it hadn't been sent off.

Called today, and was told by a lovely supervisor sharing the same name as my fiancee that the case was forwarded on Nov 9, 3 days after NOA2 date.

Not sure what that's about.

Anyway, we have the LDN number now, so...something happens I guess?
