Hey Guys, i see most of you are may filers. It looks like VSC is being backed up by maybe 1.5 month behind schedule =( dont let this discourage you but I would deff keep a eye on the timelines that VJ offers to be able to see if things improve or not.

Thanks for the encouragement, it is looking pretty dreary and I am sorry for the Jan 2012 filers who are currently struggle to maintain their sanity.

Yea they are going crazy right now and getting desperate, this will be you 5 months from now.. :rofl: lol... but all i can hope for is that things change and soon because Im almost at 5 months and im about to CRACK! :bonk:

Once VSC turn the spigot back on you're staged pretty well. Afterall they have approved some Feb filers already. Best Wishes!

Oh, I know, you're right, it's the same for us all with this waiting and anguish. I don't think I can visit again anytime soon though because I already spent so long over there in so little time that I'd look suspicious at border control - I was almost denied entry back in April so I'm even more wary now :/

We decided against trying to visit until it's time, because parting ways at the airport is just too brutally painful. u_u

Patty, sorry to hear of your father's passing, but I'm glad for you that your fiance was there with you.

as for time passing, its been a month, and it hasn't felt too awful, but I'm not in a huge rush anyway. as much as I want to be with him as soon as possible, I have things to sort out before I move countries, if I was to get an approval today, I still don't want to move before early December, I feel like I'm in a good position. I doubt an approval will take longer than 6 months. and basing May approval estimates on January timelines? things can rapidly change anyway, I don't think there is any need to get anxious prematurely.

I hope every one is doing ok. just be patient and enjoy the time you have living in your own country as its alllll about to change.

Thanks. It was a great comfort to have him here.

I just returned from Canada last night. I flew back up with him on Friday since I had the weekend planned for a visit before I lost my father. I'm struggling today since I know I wont be seeing him again until sometime in September, but I know I was very fortunate to have the time that I did.

Back to the waiting game.....

When I was visiting his family last weekend his mom kept bringing up the wedding. She really made me nervous! I was hoping for something very simple, but I think she's hoping for more. I think I've come up with a compromise.

Haven't talked about a date since we really don't know how long this will take, but we've been discussing where to do it. It's so hard to plan when you can't pick a firm date. It looks like a good friend of mine will help me out with the location so I'm relieved about that.

no real thoughts on the date, it depends on when we get approved really, if its November, then I'll try for POE early December, otherwise maybe wait till January - mostly due to work and bonus time - every penny helps since I won't be working for a few months. but plans will be simple, we'll hop on a flight to Vegas for a weekend - then have a few friends and family in Hawaii for a quiet celebration later. I'd be happy to just have us two, but I have a couple of friends and my cousin insisting. hang on.. whose wedding? really, I'm fine with obliging them as its a good excuse for them to visit.
