So still waiting for the decision after we sent our RFE back in two weeks ago, all these darn holidays are getting in the way =/ .... someone had mentioned this affidavit of support that their fiance had to send in with all the packet 3 info or for interview, not too sure, but anyways. Does anyone know the correct way of getting all that together? For exammple, do you have to get the form notarized or authenticate by the bank along with any other bank statements, etc?? Just was curious if I could get details from yall =)

RFE not as bad as we first feared, they want some passport photos of my fella and a couple of forms filled out. Probably stuff we would have known to include had we known about this site from the beginning. Oh we'll we live and learn. Sending everything they've asked for tomorrow so hopefully won't have delayed us too badly. Incidentally we had a lawyer look at our application to see if we had everything.......glad we decided not to keep him on now.

Our RFE was passport style photos as well. We sent ours off and they "recieved" it last Tuesday. All these days off are buggin me out but I know we can't change it so no worries. Hopefully it wont take us too long to get our responses/approvals!

Just called the NVC and our case was sent on the 16th of nov to the Dublin embassy!!

I'm glad to hear that most everyone else seems to have received their replies. Unfortunately, it's been a frustrating time waiting and worrying for ours to go through. NOA1 was on May 9th and still nothing on today, November 20th. 195 days and counting. I'm petitioning for my fiance in Japan and ours is being processed through the Vermont Center. I sure hope it comes soon. Is there anyone else in the same boat as us?

Not myself, but there are still May filers waiting, all date ranges, it makes it harder when people who filed with a later date get approved before you, I know that anxious feeling. If you look at 'Igors list' you will see that less than 50% of May filers on VJ have been approved, thats a good way to track who is still waiting. The odds are looking good for you to hear in the next week or so.

If you are concerned, then you can call - at least that way you can get some comfort that it hasn't been lost in the abyss of files, a few pages back there was a comment on how to do so, I would tell you, but I don't know how.

I hope someone else will chime in who hasn't got their approval yet. Hang in there, I hope it comes soon.

I know that feeling, especially seeing people's with later filing dates get approved. When we kind of resigned ourselves to the wait and fate, our NOA2 came through. We received hardcopy of NOA2 nearly two weeks after we saw we were approved on the USCIS site. Keep the faith and wishing you an approval soon

I am getting extremely disheartened as well seeing people with NOA1 dates after me getting approved I dunno what to think anymore but I am really frustrated now that I still have to wait another long four days till they start working again. And calling them does not help at all!! Is it really possible that it may be lost or something?? I am having nightmares lately, it's so sad

It won't be lost. you could try that angle when you call, ask them, 'is my file lost'? they haven't finished with May, they are approving dates all over the place, and are only at about 50% of VJ filers, another filer posted yesterday that they got their NOA1 on May 9 and they aren't approved, have a look at Igors list, you will see there are a few, I know it doesn't help with getting your approval any sooner, but hopefully some comfort that you are not alone waiting in early May.

part of my theory, the only reason later dates get approved, because someone has already pulled your box and other early May boxes and has it on their desk, there were no other early May boxes left to take off the shelf, so they picked up later May. its just a theory though.

Thanks sweetdelish! It definetely does help knowing I am not the only one waiting. I just wish USCIS was more helpful when you try to call them! They pretty much read to you what you are seeing online as your case status. It's like "helloooo I already know that".

BTW, your theory seems logical. I really can not find any other logical explanation as to why we are seeing approvals from all over the place!

I think I broke the refresh button and made a record as to how many times a day someone checks their case status to see if something changed!
