I wen ahead and booked my medical. Good job I did as there are only a few appointment left for this year!! If anyone from Ireland is looking around these forums, you have to ring the office of Tom gleeson at the black rock clinic at 01 288 0111 for the medical. It's a hefty 395 euros due to the crippling governments inability to offer healthcare at a fair price.

Keeping my fingers crossed for all the may filers still waiting for the NOA2!!

Good, that is alot of money.

wow! Thats more than the Australian one and I thought that was expensive! Good to hear you got an appointment for this year though, I hope there are some other consulates/medical offices that aren't too busy for our other waiting May filers to still make it by Christmas or at least New Years.

BrockUK, JE06, Mateo&Raquel .. and any of the others waiting from May.

Fired off an email to the NVC today; between my loathing for phones and the VJ wiki saying that's the method they prefer, it seemed pretty logical. Hopefully by Monday or Tuesday they might have some good news for me. If not, next Friday I'll call them.

Congratulations on getting your medical scheduled, AnnaLouise. Hopefully it all goes smoothly.

That works also, but I normally called NVC at night, and had no problems getting info. Don't forget Monday is a holiday.

HI Everyone,

I'm so happy for everyone who received their NOA2s, but I have been going crazy all week waiting for mine. We filed on May 7th and it is now past my VJ estimated timeline. It seems like the first week of May has almost been passed over. Is anyone else in the same boat? I have been pretty good at staying calm and patient, but after seeing a may 24th approved today, I don't know how to deal. Any words of encouragement? :(

However frustrating it is, that is normal. I read in other threads that we are put in boxes that are pulled at random. Don't worry about dates, your turn will come.

I know, but I figure the 'average' expected response time I've seen is a couple weeks, so the lag on the email is probably in my favor.

by the time you get an email response, it will probably be on its way to Portugal. Just a thought, I never called NVC, what I did do, was watch for other filers around my NOA2 date to find out when they got their case number. then I started monitoring the DHL thread to see when packages were forwarded to Sydney.

Pinkrlion said it right, don't be too concerned that a date after yours gets approved, multiple boxes, multiple people working on them so dates are going to be all over the place, I know how it feels as I got a little panicked when I saw that happen to me, thoughts of 'what if mine is lost or there is a problem' a few days later it was approved, but it happens, just be confident as they are working hard on May files, it will come any day now. (F)

I'm sure he is just stressed and nervous. He will come around again. Don't stop the process and keep going. He will regret it if you stop now.

Good Luck

that was exactly it and he did come around, am using his feelings of remorse to get a nice pair of shoes.

I can imagine how you feel cuz I felt a bit down when I saw a may 24th approval even though I am a may 22nd filer. I guess our approval will come when it's time for it. Enjoy the weekend and hope for a better week next week, like the rest of us are doing.

I noticed the other day that more than 25% of VJ May filers are approved. and most of them in the last 2 weeks, they have all but moved on from April now so that should mean that its only May being worked on for at least the next week. not long now

I just wish they would process mine, I dont care about anyone else

haha.. it feels like that huh? mixed feelings of compassion and a desire to be selfish. I'm sure everyone feels the same in some way.

I'm trying to do the same! spending time at the gym to get my wedding day body. :)
