Packet 3 depending upon your country's consulate, is the next set of paperwork and medical exam needed to be completed before you interview, after you receive your NOA2. Here is a link. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html

You need to check with others in your consulate for specific requirements, because you can be denied if you don't follow their guidelines. I hope this helps.

Ok thank you :)

Oh for the love of all sacred things.

I got the RFE today; they want proof that we've met in person in the last three years. Apparently the (date-and-location-labeled) photos and copies of the itineraries are insufficient for the towering supergenius in charge of my case.

I want to go down to the CSC and enact violence, presently. This is such a load of horseshit.

ha.. on the bright side, its easily fixed, so, boarding passes? stamps in passport? those are better proof than an itinerary. add more photos - even the same ones again, any receipts you have from Portugal, shes been to the USA right? get the same of hers, she can scan and email them to you. I think they want to see official dates rather than an itinerary which doesn't actually prove you were there, just you had intentions of going, same with photos, even the date stamped ones are not solid proof, they can be altered, however, they are supported with the other stuff.

are you sorted? the trip back to USCIS should be faster, you could be approved in a couple of weeks.

yes its horseshit, but we knew that already. they have you at ransom, put on your best beaming fake grin and get to work sunshine. :star:

The same thing happened to a friend here on VJ. What they sent in addition was Credit card statements and Bank statements showing charges made during the visits. All the things SweetDelish said are good ideas too. I scanned all the pages of my passport showing the stamps from my trips. My friend sent the bank & CC statements and 10 days later APPROVED!

Like others have said, it's an easy fix. Good Luck!

Yeah, we're getting the copies of her stuff from her trip, including a scan of the photo from Shark Reef which has 'Las Vegas 2012' on it, and they'll be getting a copy of every last photo I have, and a thumbdrive with copies of the originals so they can check the digital timestamps if they want.

Hey guys. A quick question. For the proof that we met in the past two years, I submitted photos and my itinerary. It seems like these are not enough proofs according to many filters. The thing is, I did submit a copy of all pages on my passport but I put that in a separate envelope to proof I am a USA citizen and the pictures and itinerary in another envelope. Do you think they will be smart enough to take a look at my passport copies for both the proof of citizenship and proof of meeting even though I did not title it as such??

Received our NOA1 May 4,2012. Under VSC. Still no NOA2. Waiting mode..... We didnt include the petitioner's passport showing his arrival and departure in the Philippines. Hope we didnt get an RFE. Just photos together, itinerary, boarding pass, and chat logs.

I didn't label anything (passport stamps) just stuck in the packet somewhat organized so I will let you know if I get an RFE, my NOA1 was May 3rd... I am hoping they will be intelligent enough to know what is what :)

I wouldn't worry too much about it, at this stage, there is nothing you can do anyway. If you get an RFE, so be it. It sounds like you included enough, it seems like they want something officially issued, like passport stamps or boarding passes, to support your other evidence. Just keep that in mind IF it so happens.

It is an easy fix. Why does it say three years????? Do you have boarding passes, hotel receipts, credit card statements, did you send in the entire copy of your passport? Just giving some other options of proof.

Doesn't it sometimes feel like that.
