My hardcopy NOA1 took some strange path too. I think mine took as long as yours.

Mine took as long as it did because of an issue they had with the mailing address; I was just on the phone with the USCIS customer service to make sure the address was corrected, and to ask about why my status is /still/ 'On May 31, 2012, your document I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was processed and mailed to the address on record.' when all they did at the time was re-mail the NOA1 hardcopy to the actual mailing address rather than my not-recognized-by-the-USPS physical address.

congrats for making the call. so what did they tell you? I guess status is the same, it can't be far away, and they are still doing March and April filers too, I figure its on someones desk, all CSC May Filers should be on someones desk, (or under it, not sure how big the desks or boxes of files are!) they are 59% through May filers (based on VJ stats)

Hello Fellow May Filers!

We just finished going through P3 and P4 in Montreal and have our interview date scheduled for October 22nd! 5 months from beginning to end! :D

Good luck to everyone!

I was thinking that if we collectively sent a petition to request that applications be distributed so that they have a fair shot at being processed in a reasonable time frame (i.e. less than 5 months) that might be more effective then sending individual letters to congressmen/women.

I do realize that VJ is non affiliated but with public information, we can easily tell there is a delay going on. Obviously USCIS is under no obligation to do anything, sometimes making a little noise gets somebody higher up putting pressure on the right person. My experience with gov't organizations is that they don't have financial reasons to work efficiently, but it only takes a little incentive from the right entity to get things moving.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil, but no employee at the VSC is going to squeak for us.

I made this on signon.org. I tried to be considerate of others who are waiting.

Kassil&Tierce, I think you have been approved already, probably yesterday, it just hasn't come down through the system yet, otherwise, definitely this week. I even told my fiance on Monday that we were going to be approved this week. an hour before I got the email. (which was the same time he told me hes pending orders to Sth Korea mid 2013 <_< )

case number... not sure, we are just going to wait for the Sydney US Consulate to send the packet 3, I'm booking my medical in Sydney for 26 September anyway, as I'm currently working in NZ, I'm going back for a couple of days then, primarily to see Madame Butterfly at Sydney Opera house - yay!, and I'm hoping I get pkt 3 by then anyway, so I can hit up some of the things I need, like the police clearance too. So in all, I'll just be using you guys as a guide for when I can expect it to hit NVC and then the consulate.

It took about 6 days including the weekend to get case number, and then another 4 days for Consulate to receive paperwork. Our embassy does not assign interview date until you e-mail them the DS-230. But they normally schedule it for 30 days after they receive DS-230. So I am waiting, so I can get an interview date at the end of September, so I will not have to take vacation days to fo to interview.
