Hey everyone, how are you all doing? Things are well with us. My loving cat of 10 years died in March of a heart attack. I miss him and will be taking him home to Cochrane for burial at his first home.

I've been asked to see if any Canadians living in the Chicago area are looking for work. The job is in Itasca. The company is looking for someone with experience in Canadian retail and collections. If that is you or someone you know, please let me know and I'll put you in touch with the person you need to talk with about the job.

The next few months are busy for me as I'll be making a couple of trips to Ontario. In two weeks, my niece is getting married in Hamilton. I get to come home for three weeks before I go back for my brother's wedding in Woodstock then home to Cochrane for my nephews wedding and my daughter's, Kelsie, graduation. I'm tired just thinking of all the traveling.

I'm also considering becoming a citizen. I haven't fully come to a solid decision but am tossing the idea around in my head.

I know, I'm all over the place but that just seems to be the way of things for me lately.

Welcome back, So sorry about your cat.

All that traveling would make anyone tired just thinking about it.

I had my citizenship interview done back in January still need to do the Oath, they are making me wait. I think they want to get a lot of ppl for a big ceremony here in Little Rock Arkansas. So rather them me going to Memphis Tn for my Oath I think that is what they are doing to me, it sucks waiting this long and the Oath here isn't till July.

I found that the benefits of being a citizen was very important to protect myself and kids. Arkansas has some messed up laws and if something happened to my husband I could lose everything to his family. Well that is if they wanted to be jerks but you never know what money will do to ppl. Plus many other benefits also. The baby is automatically dual and once my oath is done the younger 2 will be also. The older 2 will have to get it after the get to 5yrs but it won't be so hard on them.

Wow girl - your daughter is graduating already? Doesn't it seem like yesterday we were all stressed and worried about our lovely little teenage daughters? :) I am sorry about your fluffy kitty child...it can be very hard after loving them for so long.

I got my citizenship last July and I have to say its been a load off my mind. No more worrying about where my GC is (if your an ####### person like me who carries it!) or whether there will be a hassle at the border. The process was easy and so far I have seen no negatives although I'm adjusting to being considered 'American'. I'm looking forward to being allowed to vote come Nov...been a while.
