Child Birth Certificate

Now that our daughter is born, she needs to be listed on the 156k and instructions state to bring a birth certificate to the interview.

Does this need to be an original long form? Would a notarized copy work? I'm reluctant to send these documents through international mail.

FYI I am the petitioner (USC) and our daughter was born in the states and lives with me (so obviously won't be accompanying him).

Thanks

anyone have any idea?

if your child is in states, no issue.Certified copy of Birth is fine (short form), as long as it lists both parents names... should be available in 2-3 weeks after birth.
