My AOS interview was supposed to be tomorrow... :(

Hi,

Well I just want to vent. My AOS interview was suppose to be tomorrow... and they cancelled it on Sept 20 and so far I haven't heard of ANYTHING. No updates, no touching...nothing. We called the USCIS hotline and they just asked us to wait. Besides I still haven't got my EAD... They received our application on July 21!!! But until now... NOTHING. And on the USCIS website, it only shows they 'touched' our case ONCE so far... that's the date they cancelled our interview (it doesn't even show there).

There is nothing I can say but that I hope you get an interview very soon. From prior post people who had their interview cancelled received another interview very quickly after that, hope this is your case.

Yeah i searched similar topic here and found that some people actually got an earlier interview date. But for me... there's still nothing.

Just want to tell you that, after almost a month of the interview cancellation letter, we still hear nothing. Today we called the USCIS hotline again, that person was quite nice and tried to be helpful. But still he couldn't find any info about when we'll be scheduled another interview. Also it's 3 months after we applied for the EAD and AGAIN, we still got nothing. The record just shows that both our AOS and EAD are pending. Sigh... the staff also advised that we should schedule an info pass appointment to see what's going on and, he said that the local office should give me a temporary EAD too. :(

We had an interview that was also cancelled before it happened with no explanation. After waiting for months we finally made an infopass appointment where we at least found out that our interview had been cancelled because our file hadn't made it to the Atlanta office. Not long after our infopass we received another interview letter. There was 8 months between the cancelled interview and the interview that we got. I am not sure if we would still be waiting had we not made the infopass appointment though. So if I were you I would schedule and Infopass appointment to try to find out what the status of your case is we were told that it is no use calling the information phone number once they have cancelled an interview date because they can't help you.
