FX is numbers for countries that is not subject to current country quota of 7%. Mexico falls under this category as F2A visas given to Mexico are not subject to country quotas and hence more than 50% of F2A visas are given to Mexico. Rest of all countries are suffering because of this.

It is peculiar that when all visa categories under EB and FB are subjected to country quotas, 80% of F2A visas are not subject to country quotas.

The NVC assigns case number based on when I-130 approval notice arrives to their office. So if someone has filed in 2009 and it took many months/years for USCIS to process then the NVC will get these approved I-130 files in later years. So they may get to the NVC in 2011 and that's how you see their case number has 2011..NVC does not assign case numbers by your priority date and it's day when they receive approved cases from USCIS..

I can picture the guys who's supposed to publish the VB leaning back in their

comfy office chair, sipping coffee with their feet up on their desk, saying

"hell, it's friday, the hell with VB, i'll do it next week"

another lazy coworker goes "ya, let's go chill in the break room and have a 2 hour lunch today, it's Fridaaayyyyy~~~"

You are getting a good one! LOL dancin5hr.gif

Also I would someone to add more into people who are transferred from Chennai to Mumbai Consulate. I am transferred to Mumbai from Chennai- not sure if the CASE # remains the same except MAA becoming BMB OR case # is also changes.

People whose cases transferred to Mumbai could give more info about this.

Yes, My spouse case has been transferred from Chennai to Mumbai. According to my attorney, all pending chennai cases are transferred to Mumbai as of Jan 2012. Case numbers are changed from MDR to BMB, NVC assigned case number in march 2011 and when transferred to Mumbai they changed to november with BMB. I am seeing some 2011 cases in july interview schedule, they are may be new/transferred cases we can not track back to priority date based on the case number??

I am guessing my spouce PD will be current in either november/december 2012 bulletin, considering the current pace of VB movement

This explains why cases with 2011 are on July Interview list. I am not sure if my spouse's Case number has been changed or not. This is because since NVC asking to submit AOS docs, I have not done yet. By the time I submit AOS and Immig. docs in the next month or so, I would be able to see the change in case number.

Could anyone know the Total Nos of I-130 filed under F2A during the months of Aug thro Dec 2010. My guess is that volume of applications were usual even though priority dates have been progressed. My theory is very simple- LPRs file I-130 within a reasonable period of time as soon as they get married and capture PD.
