Hiya ~Peeps

Ok here goes .

Noa1 was 19th March but we realised we missed out paper work so we sent it all with the receipt number so hopeully it's all been tied together .

All paper work sent to Dallas lock box .

my Partner is officially a vermont resident but living in colorado for the time being . Where will the visa be sent Vermont or Texas centre .

Hope vermont deal with it as they are taking 5 months where as Texas as of today is 13 months . Not bad as last week Texas was 16 months .

I am so confused could some one explain it all in simple terms

Applied for 129F for me and my son in march $340 typical now dropped in price .

do i have to pay for the K1 ?

i know i have to pay for medicals at aprox £200 each for my son and i .

DO i have to pay for my interview ?

What comes next? i know its adjustment of status and work permit $1080 is that for me and my son or each .

You need to familiarize yourself with the process a bit, as it seems you're confused on some key things.

First of all, if you sent in an incomplete petition and then sent in some extra evidence that you forgot, chances are, you'll get an RFE. Usually, the information never matches up to your case. Wait for the RFE, see what they need, and then respond to it. Never just randomly send them info without them asking for it.

You sent your petition to Dallas, which is where all K1s go. Dallas is simply an intake facility, where they will cash your check, take a quick look at what you've sent, and then send it off to either California or Vermont to adjudicate. These are the ONLY two service centers that it could possibly go to. Check your NOA1 that you received. If your case number starts with WAC, it got sent to California. If it starts with EAC, it went to Vermont.

You have to pay the filing fee at the beginning, check the instructions on the 129F and it will tell you how much it is.

You'll eventually, after your NOA2 and before your interview, have to have a medical exam in your home country. This price varies, and yes, your son will have to have one as well.

There is also a visa fee that gets paid. That fee has recently dropped, so I'm not sure the exact number anymore.

Please, please, please read the guides. Check the flowcharts. Check the timelines of people filing around the same time as you.

After it's processed in dallas Texas your case will be transferred to California Service Center, most likely since you live in Colorado?

Thanks for the quick response .

I have possibly read at leat 100 different websites on this process so much so that i fried my brain which caused my mistakes as i only found VJ after i filed .

I called Uscis before i sent the extra paper work and the guy on the phone told me to send it all in asap with my receipt number on a covering letetr which begins WAC so guessing from what you said thats gone to California.

I sent the payment of $340 with the original application which typically dropped in price on April 12th (after i sent my payment ) i think to 2 something i think thats where i confused you .

this is whats confused me as the filing fee was $340 and where ever i check to find out if i have to pay an extra fee at my interview i draw a blank .

Please dont think ive gone into this willynilly as i did lots of research and each website told me different things and found the offical site even more confusing .

I am confused tho as when i look at timelines on here or on UScis it lists VT CA and TX but your saying there is just CA and VT . ohhhhhhh even more confusing hahahah.

The fee for filing the I-129F did not change, it's $340.00

The interview fee changed from $350.00 to $240.00

There's 2 Service centers for the K1 California and Vermont

Dallas Texas is the lockbox address where you mailed the I-129F

Your Service center is California / WAC on your NOA1 ( change that on your Timeline and at the bottom you will see an estimate of when you could receive your NOA2 )

Good Luck :)
