Hello I am a newbie and not sure if I am on the right discussion board.

I am currently filling out a ss-5fs form on behalf of my 2 month son and just a bit confused on question 5 regarding citizenship.

I am English and my fiance is American. Our son was born in England but is eligible for US citizenship as his father is American. I am not too sure

though what box to tick for my son as I am in the process of registering his birth and applying for a US passport for him at the US embassy in London. What option do I tick for this situation:

1)us citizen

2)legal alien allowed to work.

3)legal alien not allowed to work.

4)Other.

Im guessing its other, any help much appreciated.

Thanks

A US citizen is a US citizen. There is no other box to tick.
