My husband and I got our NVC case number and all that today. We sent the OPTIN email and got a response (not the automatic one) saying they're received it from us.

I didn't send the DS-3032 ... Do I have to email it to them? Or is this the same thing? I've been reading the NVC guide for Montreal but can't find the info on the ds-3032

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

For Canadians, we submit the DS-261 online, not the DS-3032. Have you read my wiki?

Congratulations on getting your case number!

The OPTIN e-mail and the DS-3032 are not the same thing. Since you are in Canada, you can send the DS-261 instead of e-mailing the DS-3032. You will find that (DS-261) at this site: https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

When you got your case #, did you also get your Invoice ID # and Beneficiary ID #? You will need both of those for electronic processing.

I highly recommend that you read the first two posts in the NVC Filers - May 2012 topic. Saylin has provided pretty much all the information and links you will need. The people who post in that topic are also fantastic, very supportive and have a wealth of information themselves. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/365453-nvc-filers-may-2012/

Good luck and congratulations again!! :)

HA!! You JUST beat me to it, Saylin!! I was trying to recruit another follower for Guru Saylin's NVC filers topic!

Bluebell, I highly recommend reading Saylin's wiki for Montreal Beneficiaries. I even printed it out and have highlighted sections as well. It's been incredibly helpful.
