Hi, i'm a Cuban citizen married 2 months ago with an American citizen in California.

I want to start the process of registering our marriage with Cuban authorities. The ''info'' they provide at their website is not very informative (and they don't answer the phone...).

So, if anyone has recently lived this process or is still involved on it, i have some questions i hope you can help me with.

First, they ask for copies of our birth certificate, check; the original of our marriage license certificate, check.

But here comes the problem:

-They ask to fill an Application Form that THEY DON'T PROVIDE.

-They ask for a copy of a Consular Registration Card THAT NEVER TOLD ME I NEEDED WHEN I CONTACT THE CONSULATE THREE MONTHS AGO.

-They ask u to go personally to the consulate NO MATTER IR YOU ARE LIVING IN ALASKA OR HAWAII.

Anyone has the clues to this puzzle?

Thanks.

You're posting in the wrong place. This particular forum is for U.S. immigration adjustment application questions.

He has a legitimate concern for many Cuban’s…and VJ is BURYING IT! Do people not ask Philippines specific questions? Why doesn’t VJ include a consulate for Cuba in their “consulate listing”? Officially it’s not a consulate, but rather an “interests section”, but it functions the same. VJ does have Cuba listed for “consulate reviews” however…fix it Please…This isn’t the first time this has been asked (I can personally guarantee that!...ha ha). Also, Cubans can’t post directly into their Portal (However I’m not sure if others can either, but I’d like to know if they can or can’t). Please respond, and help. Thanks.

Are you crazy? This question was posted in the forum for adjustment of status! It had nothing to do with adjustment of status. It was about Cuban civil marriage law!

Questions that are legitimate concerns for Cubans should go in the regional forum covering Cuba! You're trying to make a political issue out of a misplaced post.

Here are reviews for interviews in Cuba!! http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Cuba

Perhaps you're right that this is a Cuba specific question, but it is related to K-1/AOS. I have only vague ideas of what some of the other country specific terminology is too, but that's probably what sets me apart as crazy, and you sane. Click the "Embassy Info" tab at the top of the VJ home page, then Click "C", Do you see Cuba? That's all I'm asking for...and many others would like to see the same. Yes, I know you can find the "consulate reviews" for Cuba through a round-a-bout back door, but please refrain from calling me crazy for requesting Cuba to be recognized on VJ.

Well that's probably because Cuba DOESN'T have a U.S. embassy. In any case, I showed you were the interview reviews for Cuba were, so I'm afraid I still don't understand the problem.
