Hi everyone

I've been looking for information on the fee to send with the I-129F form. On the USCIS site it says $340 but I've also seen $350 somewhere and somewhere else saying that the fees for K1 visa were reduced to $240 as of April 13th... thinking the USCIS site has to be correct, but what is that about a reduced fee?

I'm sure this question has been asked already but I haven't been able to track it down and I really want to send our petition asap.

Many thanks to everyone on this community, so far I've had such helpful responses to my questions. Really means a lot :)

Lucy

The petition fee -- the one that will accompany the I-129F petition and supporting materials -- is still $340. The fee that changed was the cost of the visa that is paid at the embassy stage of the process.

Always follow the instructions provided in the I-129F.

Part One: The K-1 Visa Journey:

USCIS Receipt of I-129F: January 24, 2012 | Petition Approval: June 15, 2012 (No RFEs)
Interview: October 24, 2012 - Review | Visa Delivered: October 31, 2012

Part Two: Entry and Adjusting Status:

POE: November 18, 2012 (at SFO) - Review
Wedding: December 1, 2012 | Social Security: New cards received on December 7, 2012.
AOS Package (I-485/I-765/I-131) NOA1: February 19, 2013 | Biometrics Appt.: March 18, 2013
AP/EAD Approved: April 29, 2013 | Card Received: May 6, 2013 | AOS Interview Appt.: May 16, 2013 - Approved Review Card Received: May 24, 2013

Part Three: Removal of Conditions:

I agree with LeftCoastLady.

$340 = petition fee

$240 = visa fee (since April 13th as you said)
