we are still waiting too. Service request put in last month, waiting for 45 days as stated in the letter recived,

waoo, just waoo how hard can approving a petition be with all the "technology at their disposal"

If I do not hear back from this service request what would you guys recommend I do? Should I contact my Representative at that point? It is very disappointing that they are now 3/4 done with November and are moving on to December.

you should start contacting your congressman/senator now because you will be queued in line too... it had already been almost 3 weeks and they didn't respond to me.

I have started to mail my representatives with a letter and the privacy form; for some reason I have never liked faxing stuff. When I joined this site, I read about the worst cases taking 7 months or more, and thought that won't happen to me, that only happens to people with high fraud countries or leaving out evidence. I was sure to put lots of evidence, and checked my papers about 4 or 5 times to get errors out. My case alone has really opened my eyes to the severe problems of the USCIS, from not being able to track cases, support that treats your case like a joke, and terrible processing times. The whole process just makes me feel lost at the moment. In no way is this process fair. The cases are not processed in order, and often it seems the newest cases have the most priority. The USCIS provided stats are not near accurate and are obviously a blatant lie.

We are married are desperately trying to be together, its been 7 months with no end in sight. The process is obviously broken. When it says 5 months, I expect no more than five months. If it goes over five months, I expect someone to be accountable and tell me whats going on. The USCIS does none of this.

call the ombudsman number next week to follow up.... it is always best to call people otherwise you will just get snail mail - as you learn with all the uscis followup/ticket mail replies.

After appox. 15 days, I called back because no one had contacted me back. I was told to e-mail the csc. I e-mailed them and received a canned reply that said "Your case is currently being adjudicated. You should receive a notice of action* within 45 days."

Does this mean they actually gathered information from the service request, or is it more like a default value? Should I actually wait 45 days, or continue contacting other people? I have already contacted my government resources and am likely in the "line." I find it doubtful that I will even get a reply from them.
