CONGRATS!!!!! Did they look at your evidence?

THANK YOU!! Not at all...the secretary during the first screen only commented on the amount we had (which was a lot) and said that our photo albums were pretty. Other than that, my husband told me that the CO glanced at my wedding ring and smiled, but he did not ask for anything else.

Thank you, we are APPROVED!!

Interview was sooo smooth; the questions asked were the following:

When did you meet? How did the relationship develop?

Who is your co-sponsor?

Where are you going to live?

To my husband (beneficiary): have you ever committed a crime?

That was all...it went more like a conversation than an interview. Good luck to everyone!!

Congrats!!!!

OMG!! LOL! Well, at least you were prepared. I truly believe that the evidence sent initially is sufficient for them to approve the visa. I guess they would only ask for a lot of additional evidence from people who are from high fraud countries etc. or when they suspect that the marriage is not bona fide.

You're going home soon

Mr. & mrs. knockse were approved today at the Brussels embassy!!!

They checked the case thoroughly to see if all documents were present, the whole procedure was explained clearly and they also told us what to do to lift the temp green card after 2 years.

The interview was done by the vice-consul of the embassy. the was no doubt about the status of the relation, but he did check the assets once more. We did the whole procedure with only assets. The interview itself took about 15 minutes and was quite pleasant. The whole embassy thing took about 1.5h to complete.

Congrats to all those who have passed interviews in the past few days!

I am happy to say that all went well and we were approved as well :)

The interview was less than 5 minutes! They didn't ask for any additional evidence.

The questions the consul asked were:

- How did you meet? (We meet in Brazil when I (the USC) was living abroad)

- Why do you want to go the US? (My husband told them that his wife was accepted for a Masters program)

- Had you been to the US before you meet your wife? (No. The first time was last year for vacation after we had already been married)

Then she said, "Ok, I'm going to approve your visa."

I read your review on the embassy and had to chuckle a little when you described the vice-consul. When we were interviewed he took a really long pause after he was finished and just started looking at his papers. Then after a few minutes he passed us a little slip of paper and said ok you're approved, come back in a week for your passport. I think he does it just to make you nervous. XD

Congrats on the approval. Had you sorted out the domicile issue before the interview or were they not worried about it?

We sorted it out, I guess :)

I received a checklist for it and we sent a an explanation letter on the situation plus an affidavit for the use of the house of my parents in the US and a copy of the property tax.

They accepted it, but it came all down to the decision of the vice consul.
