I think you are not understanding exactly what i am writing. My husband is a greencard holder for about 8 years now i live in jamaica and the only reason he applied for citizenship is so he can file for me. So i really dnt knw what happen in the interview other than he told me he got a form with a it sayin he did pass the civic test but needed to sent in tax return from the IRS for years 2006-2008 and he have showed me the form via skype so we are just clueless right now!!

Clueless is a good word, were you recently married? One can only assume you were married for the last eight years where the IO wanted for some reason to show joint returns. Can only guess if recently married, maybe your husband was asked why he put off applying for citizenship when he could have over three years ago. Said he got married and wants to petition for his wife and is now giving him a hard time on this issue. Then how did he come here? Was he married to a USC and divorced? They don't like that.

According to IRS law, my stepdaughter never had to file tax returns. But getting my feet wet with the USCIS, did anyway, not only did she get a ten buck tax refund, but had four years of tax transcripts to bring in with her for the five year. Couldn't go any further than that, she wasn't of legal age yet to work. But was a wasted effort on our part, because she had those transcripts with her, and informed her IO she had them, he didn't want to see them. But that is the way it works with the USCIS.

Wife was given very bad advice about petitioning for her son, I couldn't because he was barely over 21, she was told it would be faster if she waited for US citizenship, but that was like eight years ago. New government and all that has changed. Its been four years now, still waiting for a reply from the NVC. I contacted them several times, talk about a bunch of mean basterds.

As a spouse of even a LPR, you do have number one priority, but now would be very helpful to you if you cooperated with the US government and was from Iraq or Afghanistan, or from Africa. NVC has limits, and even my key senator is helpless on these issues.

I had to give up six years of my life for this country, for some strange reason, wasn't my life like some of my buddies to fight against communism or socialism. Found out later in life, it was actually against dictators. With socialism, sure find that on my tax, utility, and health insurance cost, paying for those who don't work as hard as we do. With dictatorship, that is 100% with all these new government agencies even going against the Constitution of these United States. But they claim its for national security. Eight years have gone by, and nothing about my stepson, and he is my family! They don't give a good damn about keeping a family together.
