Wow his life went downhill quick after the NFL. In 2010 he drove his vehicle off a cliff and survived. Very sad.

Tough guys (or guys perceived as tough) have the hardest time reaching out and asking for help. They often hold the misguided belief that seeking help makes them look "weak," which is the tough guy's greatest fear. They often suffer in silence because they can be too proud to seek help.

There was a reason he shot himself in the heart.

I believe the family has now consented for his brain to be donated for research into repeated traumatic brain injuries suffered by NFL players. Let's hope that something good comes of this tragedy.

R.I.P. Junior Seau (F) You were one of the good guys.
